This week is Treaties Recognition Week - On Friday, we will be creating our own Land Acknowledgements to recognizes the unique and enduring relationship that exists between Indigenous Peoples and their traditional land.
Science - Wow! The Science presentations have been fantastic so far! I look forward to seeing the presentations over the next 2 days as well. A big thank you to parents for being so helpful and involved in this project. As we wrap up our unit on Plants and Soils, we will be having a test next Tuesday. Some items to review with your child for the science test are:
Math - We are finished our patterning unit and will be moving onto addition and subtraction. Please look for an end of unit evaluation coming home next week for patterning. We are starting our addition and subtraction unit tomorrow. Library - We have Library Book and Bibliobus Book exchange tomorrow. Please help remind your child to bring these books to school. Bibliobus books should be read a few times each week at home. Remembrance Day Ceremony - We will have our Remembrance Day Ceremony next Monday at the John McCrae House down the street. Parents are welcome to join, it will begin at 11am. After about half an hour at the JMC House, we will walk back and finish the ceremony in the gym. Please ensure your children are DRESSED AS WARMLY AS POSSIBLE, as it gets very cold standing outside for that time. MERCI!
